As a 50-something IT guy who has to deal with 20-something users all day, let me just say youth is no guarantee of technological ability.

Computer problem at home: I’m gonna google this on my phone and figure it out.
Same problem at work: Nope it’s broke.
Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

It’s funny that you bring this up. I had one of the very first iPads, way back in 2010. Of all the people to figure it out and use it like crazy was my the 92-year old grandmother. It’s not like she was into technology, as evidenced by her difficulty using a cordless phone. But she loved that iPad, and every time I would come over to visit, almost the first thing out of her mouth would be “Did you bring the iPad?”
I still have that thing. It’s essentially useless, at least as far as surfing the web is concerned. Other than perhaps mounting it in-dash as an MP3 player I can’t think of what I would do with it. I do have it in a charging stand on my desk and it alerts me and pops up a summary when I get a new email, but that’s about all I use it for . It has no real monetary value, but it does have incredible sentimental value, and I don’t think I could part with it.

Yeeeeeeep.
This is every old person who comments on a Nissan ad asking Susan how she’s doing and what the kids are up to.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
